Gustavo Ramirez, age 68, of Brownwood died early Sunday morning at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at the Brownwood Evangelism Center with Pastor Ken Colegrove officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery in Brady under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born August 25, 1942 in Presidio County, the son of Fernando and Consuelo Porras Ramirez. He was a farm hand and had lived in Brownwood since 1992. He was a member of the Brownwood Evangelism Center.

He is survived by his sisters, Maria Ramos, Lilly Sanchez, Otila Mireles, Hope Zapata, Anita Torres, and Bonnie Martinez and his brothers, John Martinez, Ted Martinez, Mario Martinez, and Jiviano Martinez .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Pablo Ramirez, Sisters, Janie Torrez, Lila Ramirez and Erminia Medrano and his step-dad, Aguinaldo Martinez.
