ACSRelay4LifeBrown County Relay for Life activity invites everyone, not just those who have signed up on teams, but EVERYONE to be involved in raising some serious cash at this year’s Relay for Life at Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood, Texas by donating quarters to a special cause—the fight against cancer!

Did you know that a quarter measures 1 inch…AND

There are 12 quarters in a foot…AND

63,360 quarters placed next to each other measure one mile…AND

One mile of quarters equals $15,840!!!

If we line quarters side by side, one lap around the Gordon Wood track would add up to $3,960!!

AMAZING!!!

Our challenge for you, Brown County, is to…Line the Track.  Let’s see how many times we can circle the track…with quarters!!!

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event.  It is a community event spanning 12 hours because, “cancer doesn’t stop because the sun goes down.”  Please join in on Friday, June 3rd beginning at 6 pm, at Gordon Wood Stadium for the 2011 Brown County Relay for Life.  For additional information, please contact Melanie Smith @ 642-3177 or Mellymel21384@aol.com.
