YezakJessica

Jessica Lee Tilton Yezak was born Aug. 26, 1982, in Brownwood, Texas, to Sara Dickerson Mathis and Jack Tilton. She graduated from Bangs High School in 2001, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Texas Scholars, was active in high school sports and served as a BHS Cheerleader for four years. Jessica was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where she was a CCE teacher. She was also a member of the AKS sorority and a proud Unity Dance mom. She worked full-time as a bookkeeper at the Klucks CPA Firm in Marlin, Texas, and was a self-proclaimed wedding planner. But her most important and rewarding job, however, was being a mother to her daughter Katie Bug.

Jessica is survived by her daughter, Kaitlyn Lee Yezak; her mother, Sara Mathis and Bill Mathis of Gatesville; her father, Jack Tilton and wife Anna Kay of Brownwood; her brothers, Chris Tilton of Shreveport, La., Lonnie Johnson and wife Jennifer and daughter Lily of Great Falls, Mont.; her sisters, Makenzi Franks and Caisyn Mathis both of Gatesville; her grandparents, Cynthia “Nannie” Leverett, Lillian Pearce, and Janet Mathis; her uncles, Leo Dickerson and wife Ronda, John Dickerson and wife Pat, and Bill Tilton and wife Jennifer; Her aunts, Cindy Miller, Nola Sweatman and husband Troy, and Dora Stewart and husband Bill; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leo Dickerson Sr., Rollin Jack Tilton Sr., Georgia Belle Tilton Alexander, Norman Pearce, and Glenn Mathis Sr. and her uncle, Tony Mathis.

A memorial for Jessica will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the First Baptist Church in Bangs.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Jessica Tilton Yezak Scholarship fund at TexasBank.
