Flags were flown at half-mast on Howard Payne University main campus and the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom campus on Tuesday, Feb. 15, in memory of Colonel Russell O. Fudge.
A Brownwood resident, Col. Fudge passed away on Tuesday at the age of 100.
He was the first director of HPU’s Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom and retired professor emeritus of political science.
