Tammy Eoff of Brownwood was the lucky winner of a new 2011 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab pickup as the grand prize in the Big Country Chevy Dealers and KTXS-TV Silverado Giveaway promotion, Thursday night, December 9, 2010.  She was one of six finalists selected from the five participating dealerships and one from the online entries on KTXS.com.

Finalist were chosen by random drawing and notified by Chevrolet regional staff.  The drawing was held at Sharon Riley’s Lytle Land and Cattle Co. restaurant in Abilene, Texas.  Finalists were treated to dinner as part of the event.  After the dinner, each finalist selected an envelope that contained a key fob.  One by one, they were instructed to open their envelope and press the “panic” button on the key fob from their envelope.  If the horn honked and the lights flashed, that finalist was the winner.  Ms. Eoff was the second person to try her key fob and the results were instant.

When claiming her new Silverado Tuesday afternoon at Bruner Auto Group in Brownwood, Eoff spoke about the excitement of the event in Abilene.

“I squealed and looked around in disbelief,” said Eoff.

Eoff spoke of how she and her husband Alvin came in the day before Thanksgiving to buy her a new truck and registered for the giveaway at Bruner in Brownwood.   She stated that she drives the one they picked out and that the Silverado they won will be driven by her husband.

The participating dealerships are members of the Big Country Chevy Dealers Local Marketing Area group.  They include Lawrence Hall Chevrolet in Abilene, Lawrence Hall Chevrolet in Anson, Hanner Chevrolet in Baird, Toliver Brothers Chevrolet in Ballinger, and Bruner Auto Group in Brownwood.  Ms. Eoff was selected as the finalist from Buner Auto Group.

“We are all excited for Tammy.  It’s always good to see someone win something this outstanding, especially right at Christmas,” said Larry Hall, Lawrence Hall Chevrolet in Abilene and President of the Big Country Chevy Dealers LMA group.
