JerryDickeyJerry Eugene Dickey, age 74, of Comanche, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2010.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Gerald Burns officiating. Family visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday. Burial will be in the Hanson Cemetery in Comyn, Texas . Friends and family are encouraged to sign the guest book at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.

He was born September 28, 1936 in Comyn, Texas to the late Cecil and Maglene (Pearson) Dickey.


On September 23, 1956 he was united in marriage to Patricia Daniels. She preceded him in death November 26, 2000. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Comanche and worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He spent 27 of those years working for Moormans. He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his family and friends. Jerry always had a way of making you laugh. He will be truly missed by all.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L. and Sandy Dickey of Comanche; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Mark Presley of Quitman; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Virginia Dickey of Lake Brownwood; brother, Bobby Dickey of DeLeon; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bobby Phillips of Waco; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Maglene Dickey; his wife, Patricia Dickey, a brother, Johnny Dickey; infant brother, Tommy Dickey; and granddaughter, Jessica Howell.

Memorials are requested to be made to American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
