Bonnie B. Farren, 90 (Brownwood)

Bonnie B. Farren, age 90, of Brownwood passed away peacefully Monday, April 13, 2020.

Bonnie will be laid to rest at Bangs Cemetery with a private graveside service. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date once all the social distancing orders are lifted.

Online condolences for the family are encouraged at this time at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Bonnie was born on August 1, 1929, to Carlos and Alice (Wileman) Burleson in Coleman. She married Eddye Farren on October 29, 1956, he preceded her in death on April 20, 1970. She worked with him at his and brother’s radio station, KEAN-FM, reading the news, in the late 50’s and early 60’s.

Bonnie is survived by her brother, Joe Fred Burleson of San Antonio; 5 nieces and 1 nephew; and long-time friend and caregiver, Hortencia Torres.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddye Farren; parents, Carlos and Alice Burleson; 2 brothers, Joseph Burleson and Hugh Lynn Burleson; and 2 sisters, Lila Lee (Burleson) Roberts and Patsy Burleson.
