Brownwood News – The following calls for service were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

On Thursday, April 2, at approximately 16:21 hours, Cpl. Hopson responded to CR 178.  This was for a theft report.  The incident is still being investigated.

On April 2, at approximately 22:01, Deputy Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to a DUI that was traveling on County Road 235 in Brownwood.  The vehicle was located and Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted on the driver.  The driver was placed under arrest for DWI.  During a search incident to arrest, a small clear baggie containing a total amount of 3.7 grams of marijuana was located on the driver.  The woman was ultimately arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz, MB.
