The American Southwest Conference today announced the 2010 All-Conference volleyball teams and Howard Payne’s Amber Cantu-Curry and Tamika Heline were honored after a vote of the league’s 13 head coaches.

ASC West Division Honorable Mention

Amber Cantu-Curry was fourth in the ASC in assists with 887 and third in service aces with 43. Amber passed 1,000 assists in her career this year versus Mary Hardin-Baylor. Amber last season was named the team’s Newcomer of the Year.

ASC West Division Second Team
Tamika Heline was sixth in the ASC in kills with 322 and points with 4.07 per set. She led the Lady Jackets in kills, points, and was second in service aces. This season she was twice named ASC West Division Offensive Player of the Week.

The Lady Jackets finished 11-16 overall and ended the regular season with a 3-0 win over ASC front runner and eventual ASC champion Hardin-Simmons.
