On Monday, November 8th, Early Police Officer Johnny Brown and Sgt. Shawn Dibrell wrote a search and arrest warrant for a residence at 2606 Ave B in Brownwood which led to the arrest of four individuals.

According to Chief David Mercer of the Early Police Department, Brown and Dibrell had been involved in an investigation dealing with the sale of marijuana to several young people in Early. When enough evidence was put together on Monday and after locating where the illegal substance was coming from, a search warrant was obtained and signed by Judge Brian Thompson, Brown County Justice of the Peace.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Brownwood Police Department assisted in the execution of the search warrant and in securing the house. The report states that officers then searched the house where they located a quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, packaging material, marijuana packaged for sale, drug writings and US Currency which was seized from the home.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Wardens were called to the home after finding a cage with four live wild squirrels. The squirrels were released by Game Wardens and a Citation was issued by the Wardens.

The investigation revealed that the individuals, identified as 32-year-old Wynona Yvette Foster, 21-year-old Jared Robert Jones, 31-year-old Michael Ray Reeves and 18-year-old Leila Nicole Schulze, have been moving large amounts of marijuana in the Early and Brownwood area and to numerous young people in the area. Foster, Jones, Reeves and Schulze were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana greater than 4 oz, less than 5 pounds.
