Brownwood News – The Department of Public Safety has released preliminary information concerning a vehicle crash that happened on Friday night between Burkett and Cross Plains.

According to the report, DPS received a call on Friday (2/28/20) at 7:47 p.m. of a one-vehicle crash in Brown County, on Hwy 206, near the Callahan County line.

The driver was Johnny Chance Connelly, 39, of Cross Plains who died of his injuries.

The passenger, Gage Thomas Connelly, 19, of Coleman, was transported to Hendrick Medical Center with critical injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
