Brown County Judge Ray West swore in four members of the Brownwood Independent School District’s Board of Trustees on Monday night to kick off their November meeting.

The board cancelled the planned school board election that was scheduled for November due to no contested races developing.  The school board certified the election of the four unopposed candidates in each place including Michael Cloy of place 1, Roderick Jones of place 3, Lisa Fowler of place 6, and Tim Jacobs of place 7.

Jones and Jacobs each were already serving on the board of trustees prior to the election.  Fowler and Cloy take the places of former members Dr. Justin Murphy and John Nickols who chose not to run for re-election.
