Brownwood News – It was a good night for area boys basketball teams in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

The Brownwood Lions (shown left) narrowly defeated Bridgeport In a thriller 54 to 52 to move on.  This is the second year in a row for the Lions to win the Bi-District trophy.

The Early Longhorns (shown at Brownwood Coliseum) got a 58 to 51 win over Clyde.

The Goldthwaite Eagles defeated Archer City 54 to 32.

De Leon got a 65-60 win over Windthorst while the May Tigers defeated Lometa 59-47.
