Corvette1958The Brownwood Rotary Club is pleased to announce that this year’s annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Show at the Brownwood Coliseum (to be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 13 and 14) will have a new component added to the event: Corvettes.

Rotary Club member Laura Terhune, Chairman of the Arts & Crafts Show, stated, “Each year, as we set up for the show, we create aisles for the vendors, draping off the extra space around the perimeter of the coliseum.  This year, we decided to do something with that wasted space that would be fun and interesting for the attendees of the show.”

Terhune noted, “I am working with Wayne Creel and the Heartland Cruisers.  Wayne and I thought it would be fun to have a couple of Corvettes from each of the past decades—a total of 10-12 cars in all.”  Most of the cars will be inside the coliseum with 2 or 3 in the parking lot to catch the attention of passing drivers.

Vendors from the Brownwood area and other parts of the Central Texas area will be set up in the front portion of the coliseum with the car show toward the back.  According to Terhune, there are still a few vendor spaces available, but she expects they will all be filled by show date.  Terhune added, “We have plenty of jewelry vendors but there are also clothing, metal art, crosses, wood crafts and much more.”

A unique feature of the Holiday Arts & Crafts Show is that the Rotary Club gives away a television to a lucky attendee.  Each person who pays the admission of $2 will receive an entry form to enter the drawing.  In addition, attendees receive additional entry forms with each purchase during the show.  The drawing is held just before the end of the show on Sunday afternoon.

Terhune concluded, “The timing couldn’t be better for early holiday shopping.  Now, folks can also enjoy a fun Corvette show.”

Special Offer to Brownwood News Readers: Free FAMILY Pass for Sunday, Nov 14, noon to 4 PM.  Get a Free FAMILY Pass at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce Monday, Nov 8 through Thursday, Nov 11 at 8 AM to 5 PM.  One per household, good for 2 Adults.

For information about the show or to receive a vendor application, contact Terhune at 325-642-3344 or see the event listing on the Chamber’s website: www.brownwoodchamber.org.
