Maria (Mary) Elena Frausto Rocha, 73 (Coleman Co.)

Maria (Mary) Elena Frausto Rocha, known as “Lenita,” passed from this life to the next on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at the age of 73 years old, in San Angelo Community Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, at the Cordero Baptist Church, 206 S. 6th Street, Santa Anna, with Rev. Margarito Barbosa officiating and assisted by Rev. Esteban (Raul) Lopez.  Interment will follow in the Santa Anna Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

She was born Maria Elena Frausto on March 13, 1946 in Cd.Acuna, Coah., Mexico, a daughter of Jose R. Frausto and Luisa Jasso Frausto.  In 1954 she moved with her family from Mexico to Santa Anna, Texas, where she lived all of her life.  In September 1975 she married Roberto Rocha in Santa Anna.  She was a homemaker and a member of Cordero Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Rocha of Santa Anna; three sisters, Janie Sanchez and husband Victor of Coleman, Frances Ramirez of San Angelo and Rosa Smith of San Angelo; one brother, Joe Frausto and wife Magdalena of Santa Anna; step-daughter, Mary Rocha Caustrita of Santa Anna; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Chris and Brian Caustrita all of Santa Anna; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Jose Rocha.
