Brownwood News – Lieutenant Colonel August Pfluger is running as a conservative Republican for U.S. Congress, District 11, the position being vacated by Congressman Mike Conaway next year.

A Meet and Greet Reception for Lt. Col. Pfluger will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, October 3, at Brownwood Country Club.

A graduate of San Angelo Central High in 1996, Lt. Col. Pfluger has served as a fighter pilot and commander in the U.S. Air Force for almost 20 years.  He is a native of West Texas and, according to his bio, has over 300 hours of direct operation against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.  He most recently served in the Trump White House as a member of the National Security Council staff advising the President on foreign and domestic national security policies.

Pfluger is married with three daughters.
