Tom Jack Trimble, 95 (Brownwood)

Tom Jack Trimble, age 95, of Brownwood passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019.

Funeral Services for Tom will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019, at Central United Methodist Church (1501 2nd St. Brownwood, Texas 76801) with Rev. Carol Roberts and Rev. David Medley officiating; burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Meridian City Cemetery in Meridian.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Tom was born on May 26, 1924, to Joe and Louiza Jane Trimble in Comanche County. He graduated high school in Everman, TX in 1942. Tom married Kathryn Faye Duke on November 15, 1942.

Shortly after graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy during World War 11. He served in Hawaii and Johnson Islands as a dry land seaman working on PBY seaplanes, as the war was ending and after serving for 4 years, he returned to Ft. Worth and went to work for Nash Hardware as a wholesale rep. In 1970, he changed to retail hardware working in Granbury. In 1974, he moved to Brownwood and managed Sav-X Hardware and Weakly-Watson. He married Eunice Willson on July 24, 1993, she passed away September 30, 2009. Tom was a Mason and Shriner for 50 plus years.

Tom is survived by his son, Noland Trimble of Meridian; 2 daughters, Paula Dye and husband Paul of Academy, Janet Wilhelm and husband Richard of Brownwood; 2 stepdaughters, Marcia Wright of Albuquerque, NM, Pat Crickenburger and husband Tim of Palmyra, VA; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Louiza Jane Trimble; wife of 49 years, Faye Trimble; late wife of 16 years, Eunice Willson Trimble; 1 sister; 1 half-sister; and 1 half-brother.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Central United Methodist Church (1501 2nd St. Brownwood, Texas 76801). Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
