Agenda for Tuesday Brownwood City Council Meeting

Brownwood News – The Brownwood City Council will meet at 9:00 am Tuesday, June 25, at City Hall, 501 Center Avenue.  On the agenda are the following business items:

6. Citizen Presentations
Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Regular Meeting – June 11, 2019
8. Claims and Accounts
9. Public Hearing
A. Conduct a Public Hearing and consider an Ordinance onfirst reading to close a 15′ wide undeveloped alley located in the Ford Addition, Block 3, between Avenue B and the alley between First and Second Street.

10. Requests and Presentations
A. The Utility Department is requesting authorization to move funds totaling $145,000 within the current budgets in order to purchase water meter antennas for Automatic Meter Reading before the end of the fiscal year.
B. Consider, discuss, and approve an amendment to the Chapter 380 Agreement between the City and the BMDD transferring $500,000.00 back to the City.
11. Consent Agenda
A. Consider Ratification of BMDD board action for a Building Improvement Incentive Program (BIIP) grant to William Stephen Ellis not to exceed $ I 0,935 for a property located at 108 W. Anderson.
B. Consider Ratification ofBMDD board action for a Building Improvement Incentive Program (BHP) grant to Painter & Johnson Financial not to exceed $3,037 for a property located at 201 W. Adams.
12. Reports
A. City closed for July 4th
13. Executive Session
The City Council may convene into a closed executive session in the Haynes Conference Room. pursuant to the provisions of the Open Meetings Law. Chapter 551. Government Code Vernon’s Annotated. in accordance with the authority contained in the following section:

Section 551.074 -Personnel Matters
A. City Manager Evaluation Continue
B. Shepherd vs. City of Brownwood
13. Action as a result of the Executive Session
Council will recon ene into Regular Session in the Council Chambers to take any action deemed necessary as a result of the Executive Session:
A. Council may or may not take action.
