Van A Row of Coleman, Texas passed from this life on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11:32 pm at the age of 86 years at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene.

Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at Gouldbusk Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Richard Hetzel officiating.  There will be Masonic Rites with interment following, services are under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 5:30 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

He was born Van Arnold Row on August 29, 1932 in Temple, Texas to Ray M. and Ruth O. Arnold Row.  Van was raised in Gouldbusk graduating from the Mozelle High School.  He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  In 1956 he married Violet Savage in Gouldbusk, Texas.

Van worked for A T & T until his retirement in 1983 returning to Coleman in 1990.   He was a member of the Baptist Church, Downtown Men’s Sunday School, Masonic Lodge Coleman # 496 where he served as Past Master, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Communications Workers of America.  He loved to spend time in his garden.

2 Daughters – Kathy L & husband Steven Jewell of Coleman, Texas

Vanica R & husband Charles Maves of Coleman, Texas

Son – Robert G. & wife Jackie Row of Smithville, N Carolina

Sister – Bonnie & husband Phil Fannin of Columbus, Ohio

2 Brothers – Joe Row of Coleman, Texas

Doyce Row of Midland, Texas

8 Grandchildren

13 Great Grandchildren

Van was preceded in death by a great grandson Lucas Row
