Burglaries and Thefts Highlight Police Blotter in Recent Days

Brownwood News –  Brownwood Police responded to the following calls in recent days which were included in the Offense and Incident Report on Wednesday, June 5.

On Monday, June 3, 2019, Officers responded to the 500 block of W. Austin Avenue in reference to storage buildings that were broken into. After arriving on scene and speaking to all parties, a report was generated.

On Monday, June 3, 2019, Officers responded to the 500 block of Cordell Street in reference to money stolen out of a wallet. After speaking to the subject who had his money stolen, a report was generated.

On 06/04/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 600 block of Oakpark Drive in regards to a burglary of vehicle, which resulted in a report being generated for criminal trespassing.

On 6/4/2019, at 0900 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 3800 Blk. of Austin Ave. in reference to a burglary. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

On June 4, 2019, at 0930 hours, a Brownwood Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue in reference to a burglary. A suspect was identified, and report was taken.

On June 04, 2019, an officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood address in the 1400 block of Wood Avenue in reference to a deceased person. Investigation was conducted and the criminal investigations division responded to the incident location and took over the investigation.

On Tuesday, June 4th, 2019 at approximately 1450 hours, an Officer met with a man at the Brownwood Police Department.  The officer was dispatched to the police department by 911-operators. The call came out as a theft of property.

On Tuesday, June 04, 2019, Officers responded to the 4000 block of Glenwood Drive in reference to a power washer that was stolen. After speaking to the reporting party, a report was generated.

On 06/04/19, Brownwood Police was dispatched to a north Brownwood business in the 400 block of West Commerce in regards to a theft that occurred, which resulted in a citation for theft being issued and a report being generated.

On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of 14h Street. A male on a motorcycle attempted to evade officers. The male was taken into custody and transported to BRMC to be medically cleared. After being cleared, the male was processed and released to JPO. The male was charged with evading with a vehicle and evading. The male also had an active warrant from T JJD.
