Brownwood News – On Wednesday, May 22, fifty-one BMS National Junior Honor Society students traveled to Austin for their end-of-year trip. The students met Texas State Senator Dawn Buckingham and Texas Representative Mike Lang and had their picture taken with them.

Students toured both the Capitol building and the historic Governor’s Mansion.  They watched as both the House and Senate were called to order and spent an hour between the two houses observing how the State of Texas government operates.

The BMS NJHS was recognized from the floor of both the House and Senate for their completion of nearly 2000 service hours this school year.
