Audrey Fay Guyer Dailey

Audrey Fay Guyer Dailey of Georgetown, TX at the age of 93 passed from this life on April 28, 2019 at Wesleyan Estrella Assisted Living.

Family services will be held on May 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Clear Creek Cemetery, Bangs, TX.  Interment will follow under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood.

Audrey was born June 7, 1925 in Brownwood, TX to John W and Stella H Guyer.  She was raised in Bangs, TX graduating from Bangs High School in 1942.  After graduation, she left home to attend nurses training at Parkland Hospital (SMU) in Dallas, TX graduating in January 1946. She met John J Dailey at the Veterans Hospital in Temple, TX.  They married on March 16, 1946 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Audrey was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and sister to all her family. She and John had two sons:  John Charles born September 2, 1947 and James Michael born June 2, 1951. They have two grandchildren:  John Erich and Elizabeth Ann. 

Audrey was a compassionate Registered Nurse for over 35 years.  She practiced in pediatrics and psychology nursing.  She then moved into industrial occupational nursing and worked at General Motors (Arlington) and retired after 20 years from IBM (Austin).

She is survived by her sons: John (and wife Karin) from Medford, OR and Mike (and wife Janet) from Salado, TX.  She dearly loved her grandchildren: Erich from Medford, OR and Liz from San Pedro, CA.

Audrey loved her sisters dearly: Earlene McFarland (and husband Raymond) and Ruth Guyer of Arlington, TX.  She was also a loving godmother to both Sharon (McFarland) Love and Steven McFarland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, baby son David Vincent and two sisters: Billie Winchester and Emma Sue Cox.

Audrey has requested no flowers. Memorial contributions may be sent to Clear Creek Cemetery, c/o Darlene Hair, 3348 Stanley Ln, Brownwood, TX 76801.
