The Howard Payne University volleyball defeated Sul Ross State University in straight games Monday afternoon in American Southwest Conference action in Alpine, Texas.

Tamika Heline finished with 10 kills and Amber Cantu-Curry added 33 assists. Cathie Kilmartin also added 9 kills.

The 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-23) victory was the fourth straight games win of the year for HPU. Howard Payne now stands at 8-7 overall and 2-4 in ASC play.

Sul Ross State falls to 1-12 on the year and 0-4 in ASC action.

The Lady Jackets play this next weekend at the ASC Dig Pink Crossover in Clinton, Mississippi.
