BROWNWOOD POLICE REPORTS: FEBRUARY 28, 2019

Brownwood News – Brownwood Police Department reports released Thursday, February 28, 2019. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Your name and mug shot then will be removed from this site in 3-5 business days.

On 02/25/2019 Brownwood PD was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce in regards an argument between a male and female that resulted in a report being generated.

On Monday February 25, 2019, Officers responded to the 2400 block of Avenue B in reference to a theft that had occurred. After speaking with the resident a report was generated for the stolen item.

On Tuesday February 26, 2019, Officers responded to 209 West Commerce in reference to a theft that occurred. After talking with employees a report was generated for the stolen items.

On February 26, 2019, Sgt. J. Mares, responded to the 2500 block of Avenue C in reference to an attempted theft of a package. Upon arrival, Mares spoke to a male subject who stated that the he believed that the subject who had attempted to steal his neighbors package today was responsible for one of his missing packages. A theft report was generated.

On 02/26/2019 Brownwood PD was dispatched to the 1600 block of Austin Ave. in regards to a minor car accident that resulted in the arrest of one male for DWI.

On February 26, 2019 at 1931 hours, Officer Shade Tidwell, was dispatched to 2404 Monterrey Street in reference to a verbal argument between a male and female subject. Report was taken for further investigation.

On Thursday, February 28, 2019, at approximately 1:35 AM, while patrolling in a South Brownwood area, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle traveling north. The officer asked dispatch to run the license plate. Dispatch informed the officer that the registration was expired. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. During this investigation, he discover the registration sticker had been altered and that two (2) juvenile males were in possession of tobacco. A report was generated and completed.
