Brownwood News – Brownwood Police Department reports released Wednesday, January 30, 2019. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Wednesday, January 2

  • Officers responded to the1500 Blk. of 6th St. in Brownwood, for a burglary call. Upon arrival, an investigation was initiated and a report was taken.

Monday, January 28

  • An officer responded to the 300 Blk. W. Baker St. in Brownwood for a Theft call. Upon arrival, an investigation was initiated and a report was taken.
  • Brownwood PD was dispatched to the 400 block of Lake Way Dr. in regard to Criminal Mischief call that resulted in a reported being generated.
  • Brownwood PD was dispatched to the 1200 block of Austin Ave in regard to a Forgery Financial Instrument call that resulted in a report being generated.

Tuesday, January 29

  • At 8:00 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1500 Blk. of Coggin Ave. in reference to theft. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.
  • At 8:04 p.m. Brownwood PD Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Commerce in reference to a male subject who had attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. The subject was not on scene at the time. A report was generated for Counterfeiting / Forgery.
