Brown County will hold a public hearing on September 30, 2010 at 9:00 am in the Brown County Commissioner’s Courtroom, Brownwood, Tx, on the proposed Budget of Brown County for the 2010 – 2011 fiscal year.  The proposed budget is available for review in the Brown County Clerk’s office, Brown County Courthouse, Brownwood, Texas.

 Statement Required by Local Government Code 111.03

The proposed budget will raise more total property tax revenue than last years budget by $160,000, and of that amount, $160,000 is tax revenue to be derived from new property added to the tax roll this year.  The Tax Rate will be raised by –0.27 percent and will raise (lower) taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately (4.10).
