Lou Ann Fuqua Price

When Christ shall come with shouts of acclamation and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart

Lou Ann Price, age 75, of Lake Brownwood TX, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2018, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was born to loving, Christian parents, James ‘Jay’ Clinton Fuqua and Allie Evelyn Fuqua on September 29, 1943 in Hamilton TX. She married the love of her life, Melvin B. Price on June 18, 1961.

Melvin and Lou Ann were blessed with three children, Ricky, Micheal, and Lori.

Following graduation from Odessa High School in 1962, Lou Ann was a homemaker until the early 70’s where she began work at Sears & Roebuck.  She would later attend Odessa Junior College to pursue her interest in the accounting field for various oilfied companies in Odessa.

She loved to ski and tube on Lake Brownwood in her younger days.  Lou Ann also enjoyed arts and crafts, planting flowers in the spring, gatherings with family to reminisce, telling stories, and sharing happy moments.  She looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who know her as Mears, Grandmother, Nanna, and MeMaw.  Melvin and Lou Ann retired to Lake Brownwood in 2006.  She was a member of Coggin Ave Baptist Church.

Lou Ann is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Robert Fuqua.  Those left to cherish her love and memories are sons, Ricky (Connie) Price of Gardendale TX, and Micheal (Shannon) Price of Bandera TX; and a daughter, Lori (Terry) Wilkerson of Lake Brownwood; grandchildren, Casey Price, Heather (Trent) Klein, Cassandra (Clinton) Goodman, Blake (Molly) Merrill, Hayden and Haylie Wilkerson; great grandchildren Carson Klein, Zeffery Merrill, Sunni Goodman, Caroline Klein, and Walker Merrill.
