Brownwood News – The Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers are pleased to announce the selection of their June 2018 Volunteer of the Month. During the July 2018 Meeting of the BRMC Volunteer’s Executive Board, BRMC Volunteer, Vi Williams, was honored as the June 2018 BRMC Volunteer of the Month.

Vi Williams joined the BRMC Volunteer Organization in January 2002. She is currently the BRMC Volunteers Card Ministry Chairperson, having served in that position since 2012. She also volunteers at the Day Surgery / Surgery Outpatient Registration and Interview Desk located at the West Entrance of Brownwood

Regional Medical Center. Vi served as the BRMC Volunteers President from 2005 – 2006. She also served as the Co-Chairperson of the BRMC Emergency Room Volunteers Waiting Room Desk from 2009 through 2011 and as the Chairperson of BRMC Volunteers Health Education Service Area from 2011 through 2012. During her tenure as a BRMC Volunteer, Vi has served in most of all the BRMC Volunteer Service Areas with the exception being the Book Cart Service Area.  She has a servant’s heart and it shows in her friendly smile and her pleasant manner when assisting staff, patients, visitors, and fellow volunteers at BRMC. Vi has over 7,270 hours of Volunteer Service at BRMC. 

The Volunteer of the Month Award is awarded by the BRMC Volunteers each month during the year. Recipients of the Award receive recognition and lunch at the Executive Board Meeting held in the month following the month for which they are selected.

The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a Volunteer and are actively soliciting new members. If you have an interest in volunteering a minimum of 6 to 8 hours per month, you will find that BRMC Volunteering will meet your needs.
