SethHartinFuneral services for Seth Allen Hartin will be Friday September 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Dale Page officiating. Interment will follow in the Mukewater Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM. Seth died from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in San Diego, California on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the age of twenty five. He was serving in the United States Navy. His home is in Bangs. Texas.

Seth was born on September 16, 1984 in Brownwood, Texas. He graduated from Bangs High School where he learned music as a member of the band. Seth also graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas with a B.A. in Business. He joined the Navy afterwards and served for ten months before his death. Seth attained the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. He was scheduled for deployment to Hawaii in September where he was to serve on the U.S.S. Destroyer RUSSEL.

Seth was well loved by the many friends he made in his life. He was known as a fun loving adventurous young man who also showed great compassion for others. He is credited by some as being instrumental in helping them through hard times in their lives.

There were three great passions in Seth’s life; music, cars, and personal strength. He used his strength to help those less strong, his music to lift their spirits, and cars to fly through life. Like his namesake, Seth was a good son, a good friend, and a good man.

Seth is survived by his parents Gene Allen and Gwen Elaine Hartin, his sisters Tracy Laine and Carey Lee Hartin, and a chosen brother Sinuhe Sustaita. His nieces include Shelby and Haley Pitts, Kenedi and Trenedi Deal, all of Bangs, Texas.

He is also survived by his grandparents Jim and Betty Burleson of Bangs, Texas and Lou Hughes of Big Spring, Texas. Other relatives who live in the area are his uncle and aunt Danny and Cassidy Burleson, cousins Houston and Dylan Burleson, and many relatives and friends.
Seth was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Nina Hughes and grandmother Jeannie Burleson.

Friends and relatives may sign Seth’s online guest book at heartlandfuneralhome.net
Heartland Funeral Home of Early is in charge of arrangements.
