Connie Hopper

Funeral services for Connie Rae Hopper, age 78, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 18, 2018 at High Mesa Cowboy Church with Todd King officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Mrs. Hopper died Friday, June 15, 2018 in an Abilene hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Connie Rae Alley was born on September 23, 1939, in Brady to Jack and Willie Ray (Clifton) Alley.  She attended school in Brownwood and graduated in the Class of 1958 from Brownwood High School.  She married Charlie Hubbard in 2004 in Brownwood.  Connie was a member of High Mesa Cowboy Church where she loved to volunteer.  She was always helping those in need, including volunteering at the Bangs Food Pantry.  She also loved watching bull riding and the Dallas Cowboys.  The best job Connie had was being a grandmother to her granddaughter Mattie Jane.

Connie is survived by her husband, Charlie Hubbard of Brownwood, a daughter, Brandi Stanley of Early, granddaughter, Mattie Jane Stanley of Early; two step-sons, Mike Hubbard of Abilene and Jeff Hubbard of Scranton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Barbara Gail Seybold and a brother, Jackie Alley.
