Brownwood News – Brownwood Police Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports released Friday, June 1, 2018. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Thursday, May 31st

  • (No Time Noted) Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an address on 4th Street in Blanket in regards to a domestic disturbance. According to the report, it appeared to the deputies that a man, identified as Dusty Wyatt Prutch, hit a female on her left eye with a raw potato. Prutch was placed in custody for Assault Family Violence and brought to Brown County Jail where he was released to jail staff.
  • 8:27 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Quail Run in reference to a theft of a motor vehicle.
  • 8:32 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted an investigative pedestrian stop 2600 block of US 377 which resulted male suspect being taken into custody for a narcotics offense.
  • 1:58 p.m. A Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in reference to harassment. The officer spoke with the complainant and a suspect was identified. An active report was generated for the offense of Terroristic Threat.
  • 5:34 p.m. A Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce in reference to a theft. A citation was issued.
