Brownwood News – Brownwood Police and Brown County Sheriff’s reports released Monday, April 9, 2018. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Friday, April 6th

*9:55 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance in progress. A citation was issued to a male subject. All parties were separated and options were provided to the victim.

*6:48 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 3500 block of Golding Road, in reference to a disturbance.

*7:22 p.m .Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce Street in reference to a theft.

Saturday, April 7th

*8:12 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 3400 block of 4th Street in reference to criminal mischief.

*11:30 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop on white Ford passenger car for an obscured temporary tag. One subject was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1G DFZ and Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence w/lntent to Impair.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a blue Dodge pickup for speeding on US 183/84 in Zephyr. The driver was arrested after a probable cause search yielded a “marijuana cigarette” weighing .5 grams, and less than a gram of THC oil in an e-cigarette. The driver was also found to be in possession of a firearm and was charged for Unlawful Carry.

Sunday, April 8th

*1:41 a.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 45th District. During the course of this stop, two individuals were arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

*11:40 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 200 block of Fay Street in reference to an assault.

*7:47 p.m. Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car for failing to stop at proper point. One subject was arrested for Possession of Marijuana<2OZ DFZ, the other was arrested for Possession of Marijuana<2OZ DFZ and Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence W/lntent to Impair.

*11:42 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of S. US 377 for a civil standby.
