ConnieBakerFuneral services for Connie Redd Baker, age 63, of Early will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 12, at Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations. Interment will follow at Zephyr Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ms. Baker died August 8, 2010 at her home.

Connie was born November 5, 1946 in Brownwood, Texas, the daughter of the late Melvin and Fannie (Riley) Redd. She was a Baptist and lived all of her life in Brownwood. Connie graduated from Early High School and Tarleton University Nursing School. She loved rodeos and playing Bingo. She had been a nurse in Brownwood for many years.

Survivors include her children, Wesley and Karen Baker of Early, Lisa and Ronald Chaput of Early and Stephen and Michelle Baker of Early; sister, Patsy and Ray Rose of Whon; grandchildren, Tasha, Phillip, Ashton, Alex, Duston, Sophie, Karley, Brett and Leland; great grandchildren, Jalen, Aiden, Matthew and Tristan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her sister, Barbra Branch and nephews, Greg Sikes and Bobby Sikes.
