Michael “Mike” Hanley, Sr., age 68, of Bangs passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 prior to the services at the Bangs Church of Christ.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Mike was born to Troy and Joyce Darlene (Martin) Hanley on July 14, 1949, in Brownwood. He lived most of his life in Bangs. He attended Bangs ISD. He never met a stranger.

Mike loved tractors and rebuilding them and trailers; he also enjoyed traveling, and tinkering around in his shop. Mike was a perfectionist, he always did it his way and it was always right. Most of all he loved his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Maryln Hanley of Bangs; mother, Darlene Hanley of Bangs; children, Gina Medcalf and husband Brent of Tolar, Mickey Hanley, Jr. and wife Coney of Cherokee, James Hanley and wife Amber of Brownwood, Charles Hanley and wife Brittany of Bangs, Jennifer Bloodworth and husband Donny of Granbury; 10 grandchildren; brother, Steve Hanley and wife Marianne of Kerrville; and sister, Diana Early and husband David of Bangs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and lots of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Hanley.

Memorials can be made to Bangs Volunteer Fire Dept. (104 E Spencer St, Bangs, TX 76823) or Bangs Church of Christ Camp Fund (306 S 5th St, Bangs, TX 76823). Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
