Bealls Department Store opened its doors Thursday, July 22nd at its new location in Brownwood’s Commerce Square with a large group of customers anxiously awaiting the stores opening.

To celebrate the event, the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome them to the new location.  The Chamber ambassadors, board members, and staff were all on hand as well as Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes.    Mayor Haynes commented on Brownwood’s appreciation for Bealls choosing to come to town.

“We are so glad to have you in Brownwood,” Haynes said.  “You have done a marvelous job with the facility.  This is a very exciting day, not just for Bealls, but for Brownwood. “

BeallsCakeBealls new store offers over 22,000 square feet of shopping with a wide range of name brand clothing, shoes, and accessories.  They are holding a grand opening event from now through Sunday, July 25th and are ready for their customers to come and see their new merchandise.  Store hours during the grand opening event will be from 9am-9pm Thursday through Saturday and from 12pm-6pm on Sunday.

“Everyone is invited to come out to take a look at the new store and be a part, especially of the grand opening,” said store manager Audrey Riley.  “We have a lot of pretty things coming in as well as back-to-school items.”

During the ribbon cutting event, a special cake was delivered in the shape of the new store courtesy of Kim Combs of Twisted Sisters & Flour Power, CakesbyKim.  Kim is the daughter of store manager Audrey Riley.
