Daryl Wayne Pannell, Sr., age 66, of Natural Dam, Arkansas formerly of Brownwood passed from this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in Wichita Falls, Texas surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.

Graveside services for Daryl will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Jenkins Springs Cemetery with Pastor Terry Simmons officiating. There is no set visitation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Daryl was born on January 12, 1951 to Roy and Dellean Pannell in Prairie Grove, AR. He lived most of his life in Brown County, where he was a long-time painting contractor. He was a hard worker who enjoyed his jobs. He retired to Natural Dam, AR.

Daryl is survived by his mother, Dellean Pannell of West Plains, MO; 2 sons, Wayne Pannell and wife Pamela of Bangs, Matthew Pannell and wife Elizabeth of Brownwood; 3 grandchildren, Ginny Pannell of San Angelo, Jacey Pannell of Bangs, and Caden Mendez of Brownwood;  2 brothers, Roy Pannell and wife Melanie of Cedarville, AR, Ricky Pannell of Brownwood; 2 sisters, Karen Walker of Van Buren, AR, Donna Woten and husband Larry of West Plains, MO; favorite cousin, Trin Vinson; special companion, Trudy Smith; and his furry companion, Baby Girl. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends across Texas and Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Pannell, who greeted him at Heaven’s Gates.
