Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Joann Franklin 82 of Odessa, Texas, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 peacefully at her home in Early, Texas. Services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends 5:30 – 7:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral Home.

Joann married the love of her life, John Franklin on May 16, 1954 in Odessa, Texas.  The two have celebrated 63 wonderful years together.

Joann is survived by husband John Franklin of Breckenridge, Texas; brother John David Harris and wife Pat Harris; grandson John A. Franklin; granddaughters Ashley Franklin, Christina Hubbard, Kelly Godfrey, Melissa Smith; daughter-in-law Jerrie Franklin; she is also survived by a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lena Harris; children Carolann and Gary Franklin.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to American Cancer Society.
