Weakley-Watson Hardware to host ‘Grand Re-Opening’ as Ace Hardware’s 5,000th Store

Brownwood News – Weakley-Watson Hardware will host a ‘in danger of closing after 140 years in business, has seen new life after being purchased by Tim and Kerri Jacobs. Their son Weston and his wife Emily have taken the helm and brought a new look, and a new line of hardware to the business, while promising to maintain “the exceptional customer service you’ve depended on for generations.”

The three-day celebration will feature various demonstrations, as well as food, music, and special drawing for a Craftsman Toolbox, and a Kamado Joe Cooker.

  • On Friday, August 11th, the doors will open at 8 a.m. There will be a Big Green Egg Demonstration held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • On Saturday, August 12th, the doors will open at 8 a.m. Sausage wraps, pulled pork tacos, and sandwiches will be served from 10 a.m. until closing for $3 per plate. A demonstration from Amy Howard at Home will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • On Sunday, August 13th, the doors will open at 10 a.m. Attendees can enter to win a Kamodo Joe Classic Cooker, valued at $1,100, provided they have an Ace Rewards Card, or sign up for the card during the event.
