Brownwood News – The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a deadly accident that killed a Brownwood man in Cross Plains Sunday morning.

According to the preliminary crash report, Fernando Alvizo, 34, was walking along State Highway 206 in Cross Plains Sunday morning around 5:30 a.m. when he was hit by a 2010 Chevrolet pickup towing a boat trailer.

Alvizo was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time. The incident is currently under investigation.

Friends of Alvizo posted on social media, offering prayers for his family, children, and his parents, who both work at Kohler in Brownwood.
