Eddie Watson was sworn into office as the Brownwood City Councilman Ward 2 on Tuesday morning at this week’s regular city council meeting.  Watson took the Oath of Office which was administered by City Secretary Christi Wynn (pictured).

Watson took his seat on the council following the oath for his first council session.

Watson won the runoff election against local businessman Ed McMillian Saturday.  The two were only 4 votes apart in the regular election in May forcing a runoff, but Watson took a decisive win on Saturday.

592 total ballots were cast out of the over 11,000 eligible voters during the runoff with Watson getting over 62% of the vote and McMillian taking over 37%.
