A graveside funeral service, with military honors, for Paul N. Young, age 85, of Glen Rose, formerly of Lake Brownwood, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Services are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Paul Newton Young was born March 3, 1931 to Frank and Lena (Kille) Young.  He went to be with our Heavenly Father on February 26, 2017.

He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves from 4/14/53 to 4/21/55. He spent time in Korea helping to rebuild bridges and towns. He shared fawn memories of the people and children that he helped. Paul wore many hats in his lifetime, farmer, lumber mill, jockey, big equipment operator, construction. He loved animals, his horse Mary Jane and in his later days, chickens, ducks, peacocks, dogs and especially Mitzi who was a great friend and companion. He was a master Gardner, all he touched grew with love, all kinds of vegetables and beautiful flower gardens. He loved children and was quite the jokester and was quite the fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and two brothers: Florence Talbot, Dorothy Cain, Mary Eshler, Thelma Penrod, Elma Iddings, Edith Hetrick, Urban (Bud) Young, and Frank Young Jr. and longtime friend Naomi Godwin.

Paul is survived by 2 sisters-in-laws Marlene Young, Lucy Young of Berlin Center of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

We will miss you, forever in our hearts, Mike, Miriam, Jaydon and Karen.
