Wynnelle “Nelle” Hewitt

Graveside Services for Wynnelle “Nelle”Hewitt, age 100, of Brownwood will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2017 at Cedar Point Cemetery with Bro. Tim Skaggs officiating. Visitation will be held prior to service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Nelle went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 03, 2017, after a remarkable 100 years of life.

Nelle was born on March 14, 1916, to Joe and Maggie (Banner) Kyzar in Pontotoc, Texas. She was a longtime member of Coggin Ave Baptist Church and worked in the nursery for a number of years.  She was affectionately known as, Granny Nelle.

Nelle leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Tommie Wynn of Brownwood, Sue Mathews and husband Andy of Little Elm, Joe Hewitt and wife Kay of Brady; 9 grandchildren, Mike McLane and wife Cathy, Ricky McLane and wife Victoria, Douglas Wynn and wife Melissa, Joey Wynn and wife Chrisi, Angela Beaulieu and husband Paul, Mark Mathews and wife Sonya, John Mathews and wife Jamie, Jason Hewitt and wife Tammie, Sarah Weaver and husband Daniel; 27 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hewitt; mother, Maggie Banner Kyzar; father and step-mother, Joe and Elma Kyzar; sister, Lottie Burk; granddaughter, Lisa McLane; great-grandson, Brandon McLane; and daughter-in-law, Gayle Wynn.
