Special Release to Brownwood News – Cross Classical Academy students recently presented a Living Wax Museum and Poetry chapel to friends and family.  Presenting a history program is a bi-annual assignment for CCA students.  “This year students brought history to life,” says Monica Minzemayer organizer of the History and Poetry programs.  Minzemayer explained that students were to choose a historical figure or event from the time period our school is currently studying.  Following research on those historical figures students designed their own backdrop and wrote a short explanation of their character to be presented at the event.

“Bringing learning to life and presenting rote memorization is part of making education fun and is classical education in its nature. These students worked hard to present a great program, their hard work did not go unnoticed,” added Davis when talking about the event.

“Those visiting the living wax museum seem to have as much fun learning about their characters as the students did preparing for the event,” said CCA Administrator, Stephanie Davis. Following the living wax museum the students, presented a poetry chapel, which included works of poetry from the time period being studied as well.
