Renovations continue at Brownwood High School as the new locker room addition, attached to Warren Gym, is inching closer to toward completion as the 2025-26 school year winds down.
As part of the $59.5 million Brownwood ISD bond that was passed in May 2023 by city voters, the former locker room at the high school has been doubled in size by a facility that will house both boys and girls athletes.
Highlighting the 24,900 square foot addition is new athletic lockers, restrooms, shower areas, and offices.
The project is expected to be complete in July.
Warren Gym is currently receiving a new roof as well, and the court will also be updated with new volleyball boundary lines, among other changes to the playing surface.
At Gordon Wood Stadium, the new press box is expected to be finished in July, while the field house will receive upgrades as well.
