Elouise “Lucy” Embry, aged 89, departed this world with grace and tranquility on April 15, 2026. Born on February 24, 1937, in the heart of Brownfield, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Stearl A. Petty and Viola Ruby McAnannly. Elouise’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her home, as she found profound joy in her role as a homemaker.

In her lifetime, Elouise knew the warmth of love and companionship, having married her devoted husband, Gene Embry. Together, they wove a tapestry of commitment and partnership, enduring through the seasons of life with love that knew no bounds.

Elouise is survived by her many beloved nieces and nephews, who carry forward her spirit and cherished memories. Elouise was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Embry; her sister, Billie Joy Brandstetter; her brother, Steve Petty; and her parents, Sterling Petty and Viola Petty.

A private memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date, a moment for family to gather and reflect on the profound impact she made on their lives.

As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, let us carry forth her legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion-a legacy that will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.

Online condolences, memories and tributes can be made to the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
