Guadalupe Gutierrez

Guadalupe C. Gutierrez, age 69, of Brownwood, passed away on May 5, 2026 in New Braunfels, Texas. Family will host a visitation from 12:00-2:00 pm on Monday, May 11 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. A funeral service for Guadalupe will be held at 2:00 pm after the visitation with interment to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Guadalupe was born on September 26, 1956, in Fort Morgan, Colorado, to Frutose Solis and Romona Garcia/ Bravo. She married George Salazar and she had 2 children, Patricia Gutierrez, Claudia Godina.

Guadalupe enjoyed her time as a housewife, caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a green thumb and a passion for gardening. She loved plants and flowers, especially red roses and gardenias. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed traveling and going camping.

Guadalupe is survived by her husband, George Salazar; brothers, Jimmy Garcia, and Michael Solis; sister, Betty Garcia; daughters, Patricia Gutierrez and Claudia Godina; son-in-law, Manuel Godina; 4 grandchildren, Jesse Gutierrez, Christina Gutierrez, Ruby Schaffer, and Yanir Eduardo Godina; and 10 great-grandchildren, Alexus Gutierrez, Mia Garcia, Mayra Garcia, Aidyn Gutierrez, Andru Gutierrez, Alana Schaffer, Anthony Schaffer, Aaron Schaffer, Nico Hernandez, and Daniela Schaffer.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her sisters, Josie Dominguez and Linda Garcia; and her brother Lewis Solis.
