9:00 AM-6:00 PM–Browse vendors on the boardwalk
9:00 AM-6:00 PM–Heritage Trail Tours: Member Communities give highlights of stops on the significant sites within the trail area (what can be seen year-round after the Grand Opening).
9:00 AM–Travis Komacheet, Comanche Flute Player. A talented musician and a proud ambassador of the Comanche culture, Travis is known for his enchanting performances on the Comanche flute. His deep connection to his heritage is evident in every note he plays, bringing the spirit of his ancestors to life.
10:00 AM— Arlene Schonchin, the Comanche Nation Princess, is committed to representing her tribe and preserving its culture. She will showcase the Comanche traditions and inform us about the rich heritage of the Comanche Nation.
10:30 AM–Larry Liles: The Comanche Drum—In Real Time. Inspired by the rich traditions of the Comanche culture, Comanches connect to Mother Earth through drumming,
12:00 PM-1:30 PM –- Keynote address from Comanche Tribal Chairman Forrest Tahdooahnippah
1:30 PM–Educational discussion anthropologist Linda Pelon: The history of the Penatuhkah
2:00 PM–Wallace Coffey: Thirty Years Returning Comanches to Texas. Wallace Coffey will discuss his remarkable thirty-year journey to reconnect the Comanche people with their ancestral homeland. Through his leadership, Coffey has preserved Comanche culture while fostering economic development and ecotourism. His dedication to initiatives like the Penatuhkah Comanche Trail project and the Comanche Nation Fair highlights the rich heritage of the Comanche. Discover how Mr. Coffey’s legacy continues to inspire efforts to honor and protect the Comanche past and present.
3:00 PM–Dedication of the New Marker Tree Ceremony. Join us for a special ceremony as we plant a new marker tree, pointed symbolically towards San Saba, the historic site where the treaty between the Penatuhkah and the Germans of Fredericksburg was signed. This event honors our common heritage and commemorates our shared history.
3:30 PM– Patrick Redbird, Comanche Flute. Through his music Patrick vividly brings to life the Comanche heart and spirit.
4:00 PM –Hands on craft workshops: Flint knapping and tool making. Stations allow visitors to experience daily life in Comanche culture.
4:00 PM- Traditional dance performances featuring Comanche dancers
5:00 PM–Children’s Activities: Games and story telling
7:00 PM–Stage open mike for live music
