The Hill Country Veterans Alliance proudly presents the 1st Annual Ruck to Remember 5k on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at Early Town Center Park. This is an event dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. More than just a race, this 5k is a community-driven tribute encouraging participants to carry weighted packs (rucks) as a symbolic gesture of the burdens our fallen heroes once carried in service to our nation. Rucks are not necessary, and participants are encouraged to run or walk the distance.

Our mission is to bring the community together in remembrance, reflection, and support of our veterans and their families. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit HCVA’s local veteran programs, helping to provide resources, connection, and assistance to those who have served.

Join us this Memorial Day weekend as we remember, honor, and ruck for those who gave all.
