Willie James Strength, a devoted family man and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his residence in Valera, Texas. He was born on July 14, 1981, in Bastrop, Texas. Willie lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and a vibrant spirit that touched all who knew him.

Willie grew up in Coleman, Texas, where he attended school and graduated in 1999. He later dedicated many years to working in the oil field, contributing his skills and strong work ethic to the industry. Known for his fun and outgoing personality, Willie was often the life of the gathering, bringing joy and laughter to family and friends alike.

Willie had a deep love for fishing, hunting, and spending time with those closest to him. He appreciated the simple things in life and valued every moment with his family, who were the cornerstone of his world.

He is survived by his beloved children, Tabitha Strength and her husband Michael Peterson, and William Strength, Jr. and his wife Marrisa. Willie’s heart was especially full when it came to his five grandchildren: Iris Peterson, Stella Strength, Cyrus Peterson, Dalilah Peterson, and Delaine Strength, who will carry forward his legacy of love and joy.

He is also survived by his loving parents, Candy Ann Blaine and Wesley Nathan Strength. Willie will be deeply missed by his siblings: Thomas Woods, Cooper Strength, Jake Strength, Kayce Roach and husband Jared, Mandy Dore and husband Steve, and Jodie Strength.

He is remembered as well by his extended family, including numerous nieces and nephews—among them Evan Blaine, Elijah Blaine, Alyssa Salazar, and Jaedon Campbell—who proudly serve our country in the armed forces.

Willie was preceded in death by his nephew, Hayden Arthur; his grandparents, Louise Strength and William James Strength; his uncles, Herbie Strength and Johnny Strength; and his aunt, Debbie Amerson.

The family will host a visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm at Glen Cove Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

As family and friends gather to celebrate Willie’s life, they will remember a man whose love, laughter, and vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Strength family by signing the guestbook on Willie’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Strength family.
