SWARM events give incoming students the opportunity to meet with advisors and register for classes at HPU

It’s time for incoming Fall 2026 Howard Payne University students to take the next step toward enrollment through SWARM, an exciting half-day, on-campus event designed to help students complete the college registration process.

The first SWARM event is scheduled for this Saturday, April 11. Additional SWARM events are scheduled for May 2, June 5, June 19 and July 17.

SWARM provides students and their families with an opportunity to finalize key steps before the fall semester begins. Students who attend early sessions benefit from greater course availability, allowing them to build ideal class schedules, while also gaining peace of mind knowing they are prepared well before the first day of classes.

“SWARM is designed to remove barriers and make the enrollment process as smooth as possible,” said Dr. Ben Martin, associate vice president for enrollment management. “Students leave not only fully registered, but they also visit with other new students, meet with faculty and staff, and kick off their HPU experience.”

Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in Mims Auditorium, and the event concludes after lunch around 1:30 p.m.

Throughout the day, participants will register for classes, meet with financial aid staff, connect with student experience representatives, and explore campus resources. Students will also enjoy lunch in the dining hall, tour campus and residence halls, receive a free welcome gift and take advantage of an exclusive discount at the Stinger Store.

Prospective students who have not yet applied to HPU are encouraged to do so. The university offers a free application, making it easier than ever to begin the enrollment process.

Students can connect with HPU by visiting hputx.edu/admissions. For additional assistance, contact the Office of Admissions at (325) 649-8020.
